Hong Kong police arrest former Apple Day by day editor in chief: Studies

HONG KONG: Hong Kong police arrested the previous government editor-in-chief of the now-closed Apple Day by day newspaper on Wednesday (Jul 21), native media reported, the most recent arrest in a nationwide safety investigation of media tycoon Jimmy Lai’s newspaper.

Police, who sometimes don’t determine people beneath investigation, mentioned in an announcement that they had arrested a 51-year-old former male newspaper editor on suspicion of “conspiring to collude with international nations or international forces to hazard nationwide safety”.

Media group Subsequent Digital, which revealed Apple Day by day, didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
