The Nationwide Hurricane Heart advisory says “from Wednesday afternoon into Saturday, Laura is predicted to supply rainfall of four to eight inches, with remoted most quantities of 12 inches throughout parts of the west-central U.S. Gulf Coast close to the Texas and Louisiana border north into parts of the decrease Mississippi Valley.

“There’s a danger of life-threatening storm-surge from San Luis Move, Texas, to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, with the following 48 hours, and a storm surge watch is in impact for these areas exterior of the southeast Louisiana Hurricane and Storm Injury Danger Discount System,” stated the Nationwide Climate Service.

Further hurricane watches have been issued for components of Texas and Louisiana.
